Connected vehicles require robust, non-stop access to cloud services for Driver Assist, OTA updates, Mapping, Infotainment, etc, and application session continuity is critical. Due to embedded devices, connected cars and autonomous vehicles aren't able to tolerate an application crash when a cellular connection drops, which is what happens today without the ALTOS Super-Connectivity Module. Unlike conventional routers, ALTOS path control moves application flows from one service provider path to another without breaking the existing session, ensuring the application continues to run smoothly.

The ALTOS Super-Connectivity Module (SCM) delivers application continuity over any available network path including 4G, 5G, Satellite, Wi Fi, and others. The SCM will ensure that applications run with no session drop even when the connectivity must be switched between independently managed network services, such as between Wi-Fi, LTE, and satellite.
